Stephanie and John’s Story
Parents Seeking a Better Understanding of their Child’s ADHD
We met Stephanie and John, loving parents of Max, a middle schooler diagnosed with ADHD, when they reached out to us for support after struggling to understand the complexities of executive dysfunction and how ADHD manifested in his daily life.
Like many parents, Stephanie and John were eager to help their son succeed academically and socially. After an initial consultation and a series of coaching sessions, they gained a deeper understanding of executive dysfunction and learned about various strategies to support Max in overcoming these challenges.
We helped Stephanie and John recognize the unique ways ADHD affected Max, such as difficulties with time management, organization and impulse control. By understanding the specific manifestations of ADHD in their child, they were able to develop customized strategies to address Max's needs.
As Stephanie and John continued to work with us, they learned effective communication techniques to better connect with Max and provide the encouragement he needed. They also discovered various tools and resources to help Max develop his own coping mechanisms and build self-confidence.
Over time, they noticed a significant improvement in Max's academic performance and social interactions. The newfound understanding of ADHD and executive dysfunction allowed them to create a supportive and structured home environment, enabling Max to thrive both in and outside the classroom.
Today, Max is a confident and happy middle schooler, excelling in his studies and enjoying strong friendships. Stephanie and John are grateful for the insights and guidance they received from our coaching services, which ultimately equipped them with the knowledge and skills needed to support their child's journey with ADHD. Their success story highlights the importance of parental education and involvement in helping children with ADHD overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
